OC ELITE GIRLS MEET CANDACE PARKER

Oh what a night! On August 2nd, OC Elite Girls Basketball players were in for a treat. Not only did they get a chance to watch the adidas National High School players showcase their skills in a friendly scrimmage, but they also got to meet and great WNBA Superstar Candace Parker of the LA Sparks.

The event took place at Orange County ’s Hope International University . It was the last stop for the “Candace Parker Aces-Team” before their two week exibihition tour of Japan , where they will be playing Japanese professional and college teams. OC Elite’s Keiana Veines will be joining the Aces team next year, but was already practicing and staying with the team while they were getting ready for the trip.

Candace Parker, who was there to watch the team play and to wish the girls a successful and enjoyable trip, was welcomed with heartfelt applause and great enthusiasm by all of the OC Elite players and parents attending the showcase. During half time she met all the OC Elite players, signed their T-Shirts and took pictures with them.

It was a great night to host both Candace Parker and the "Aces Team".

TESTIMONIALS

What parents are saying about Orange County Elite:

Also, I want to thank you for all of your efforts - Jessica’s game has improved immensely. Coach Dan and Coach Ruben have made a tremendous impact. Trying to be as objective as a Dad can be, her shooting is just outstanding. I watched her at practice last night and she made almost 70% of her shots, didn’t miss a single lay-up, passing was great and her ball-handling skills are greatly improved. There are still a number of areas that need work but I really think that she can play at the highest 8th grade level.

Thanks again and enjoy the Rose Bowl!

Fight On!
