Dana Hills 54, Mission Viejo 32: Kristi Nishihara and Olivia Winokur scored 14 points apiece and Haley Nordbak added 13 points as the visiting Dolphins (12-5, 3-1) defeated the Diablos (13-8, 1-3) to finish the first round of league play tied for first place with Laguna Hills (17-3, 3-1).
 
Tesoro 67, Aliso Niguel 55: Nisma Ali scored 20 points to lift the Titans (11-9, 3-1) over the Wolverines (11-10, 2-2). Tesoro took sole possession of second place.
 
Yorba Linda 73, Pacifica 38: Emily Feneck scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Taylor Schlener had 14 points and six steals to help the Mustangs (13-4, 5-0) rout the host Mariners (7-11, 2-3).

The 5-10 sophomore had 17 points, six rebounds and four steals in a 56-16 victory over Fullerton and she had 30 points and five rebounds ina 63-41 victory over Buena Park .

A few miles away, Dana Hills got 19 points from Haley Nordbak and Olivia Winokur had 18 points and nine assists to hand El Toro a 52-41 defeat, the first for the Chargers in league play, at Dana Hills .
 
Diablos center Gabby Kaiser, a 6-2 junior averaging 20.8 points per game, scored all 11 of her points in the first half before picking up her third and fourth fouls and sitting down with 5:06 left in the third quarter. With Mission Viejo 's biggest scoring threat on the bench, the Hawks extended their lead to 41-23.
 
Tesoro 76, San Juan Hills 28: Sarah Krufka, Lea Wodach, Nisma Ali and Lauren Ram all scored in double figures as the visiting Titans (10-9, 2-1) took care of the Stallions (9-9, 0-3).
 
Capistrano Valley 53, Aliso Niguel 49: Jessica Johnson had 12 points and 15 rebounds to help the Cougars (9-9, 4-0) hold on for a victory over the host Wolverines (11-9, 2-1) and take sole possession of first place.

Allyson O’Brien, La Habra : O'Brien dropped 27 points while shooting 66 percent from the field. She also sank eight free throws to lead the Highlanders to a 15-point victory at Costa Mesa . She also grabbed six rebounds and recorded three blocked shots.

El Toro 43, San Clemente 33: Reanna Karp made four 3-pointers and finished with 12 points as the Chargers (13-5, 2-0) defeated the host Tritons (8-8, 0-2).

El Toro 53, No. 7 Mission Viejo 35: Alyson Doherty scored 18 points as the Chargers (12-5, 1-0) knocked off the visiting Diablos (11-5, 0-1), who made their debut in the county top-10 this week. With the victory, El Toro avenged a 50-37 loss to Mission Viejo last week at the Costa Mesa Winter Classic.
